Volume 12: Chapter Five: Enlightening Emptiness

Thanks:

Well here it is. The end of Volume 12, but not the end of the arc, or even close to the end of this series!

Thanks to all those who follow us and have patiently waited for us to finish the volume. We recently passed the 100 follower mark, and that is a tremendous accomplishment knowing just how obscure this site used to be. We couldn’t have done it without you! If you haven’t followed us yet, just one click will keep you up-to-date with the latest happenings and releases on the site via e-mail notification. Do it!

As always, things moved much slower on this chapter than we had hoped. Please believe me that it is just as frustrating for us trying to get the chapter done as fast as we want to as it is for you to wait for it to be finished. We appreciate your patience and hope the chapter is well worth the wait!

The Release and Future Plans:

Afterword was short and is included in this release, but Illustrator notes weren’t because it was a generic plug for the next volume. If you really, really want it, let me know and I’ll get to it. Chapters seem to be getting longer and longer (70+ pages at last look), so expect some good content, but a bit longer wait between than previous volumes (~40 pages). (Sorry!) 😦

My first priority is TL’ing Volume 13 and everything else is currently on hold.

Final proofing edits for the ‘Volume 12’ tab and PDF release will delayed unless some kind soul wants to take another look over the text, proof it, and put it together for us. Shoot us an e-mail on the ‘Contact’ page if you are interested in helping out. I have a Word Doc file of Vol 12 that can be used. There’s a Proofer and PDF designer credit in it for anyone who completes job.

We can probably give you a fancy title for the Discord Channel too in case that motivates anyone…

Anywho… On to the actual chapter!!!

Volume 12: Chapter Four: Kikuyo Kagataka (Vol.12)

Well here it is. A long time in coming, we here at Silvered Tongue hope you enjoy the new release.

(Side note: This chapter had a bunch of cultural references in it. Just comment if something is unclear.)

As a brief reminder, this volume is divided into 5 chapters, so there’s still one more chapter and the Epilogue to finish out the translation of our second volume.

And, as always, let the typo finding games begin…

The Day After…

As some of you may (or may not) have guessed, the radical transformation of the site yesterday was all a part of this year’s April Fool’s Day celebration!

Surprise!

We hope you all enjoyed the joke, and aren’t too disappointed that we won’t be using a code.

What is true, however, is the excerpt we posted is a part of Chapter 5–albeit a modified form– and we will post the real version of the teaser, along with the ‘code’ we used below the ‘Read More’ tag in this post.

Fair warning! **SPOILERS** lie below the cut.

APRIL FOOLS–URGENT ANNOUNCEMENT: Upgrade to Website Security.–APRIL FOOLS

As some of you may be aware, Baka-Tsuki was hit by a DMCA that targeted the translations of a lot of their major series in December of last year. As this project has attracted more attention, we here have begun to think more and more about these kinds of things. Fortunately, we have consulted with a security expert, and he has given us a solution he promises is as simple as it is secure:
